Sometimes it’s nice to just sit down with a pile of LEGO® bricks and create a fantasy world like this Cloud Temple. I have a growing collection of dark gray slope bricks which make a great base for towering rocks and mountains. Throw in some tan or white bricks for the buildings and you have an instant fantasy world.
Building the Cloud Temple
My goal on this build was to make the LEGO® temple feel like it was floating on a narrow base of rocks in the sky. I built up the mountains and rocks elevating all the temples into the sky and then connected them with a series of arched bridges. I then added the little sail boat below to create a sense of scale to the build.
I really like using the combination of tan, dark tan and sand green bricks for older temples, churches and buildings. It really gives them a realistic feeling like sandstones or weathered walls. Check out my pinterest micro-build board for more inspiration and ideas or the LEGO® Castle Book by Jeff Friesen.

Adding some Photoshop clouds
After photographing the build I could not resist adding in some clouds to bring the Cloud Temple LEGO® moc to life. Putting your builds into an environment really elevates them and helps bring your vision to life.
