Build Notes

Over the years LEGO® has added and changed its parts inventory and whenever possible I try to provide alternate solutions for these parts below.

Adding Utility Post Wires

The LEGO® string with end studs 41L are hard to find and very often expensive. I use high quality black embroidery string that your can purchase at a craft or hobby store. I take the silver and dark green 1×1 pieces and sandwich the string in-between them. You will then be able to connect the string to a series of telephone poles and electric connections at the fraction of the cost.

Using the modular landscape elements

Each module of the landscape can be separated, rotated and re-combined. You can rotate the main 16×16 stud wide base to match it up with other parts of a larger diorama like the Mad Mocs Desert Railroad Crossing. These modules can be combined to create your own modular landscape that you can continue to expand on as your LEGO® collection grows.
